This home had a brand new addition and we wanted to complement the look of it and create an awesome outdoor living space for this family to enjoy! This addition had a “modern farmhouse” feel so we wanted to use products that would match well in color, texture, and style. The layout played a big part in the hardscape matching the home as well.

About this Project
This was a small space in the heart of the city but this is a project we are very accustomed to and it turned out awesome! Working in tight access areas and out of alleys is how our business grew up. In fact, DTE was born just a few blocks away. We understand the challenges of working in the city and we love transforming small spaces!
We were able to maximize the space based on the client’s needs & wants and give them plenty of patio space, while still making it feel cozy and warm. The bubbling rock water feature adds a focal point to the garden beds and has such a soothing feel and sound. There are two up lights highlighting this custom piece allowing it to be enjoyed long after the sun goes down. We wanted to keep straight lines in the patio and walls but had to add in one nice rounded edge to follow the path to the garage.
We re-purposed some really nice Colorado Red Flagstone that was used in the City of Denver sidewalks throughout the last century. This adds a natural feel to this updated backyard. We chose pavers that matched the color scheme of the addition and interior of the home. This was one of our favorite projects of 2022!
