On Quail Ridge we expanded the existing flagstone patio, constructed a huge pergola, and built one of the largest fireplaces in the city.

About this Project
This fireplace is a showstopper! Standing at a whopping 14’ above the patio, this is one of the largest wood-burning fireplaces in the area. This unit was built with CMU block on a 3’ deep footer and stone veneer. You can see it from several houses away! To add in another outdoor entertaining area, we expanded the flagstone work and added a pergola to distinguish this space as the ultimate relaxing area.
Previously, this area was very exposed and was tough to utilize because of the heat during the summer. It was only enjoyed in the evening and even then it didn’t feel quite right. The wish list was to create some protection during the day and make it much more usable year round. Mission accomplished! The pure heat of the wood-burning fireplace will be enjoyed well into the winter months.
